Rhodanthe chlorocephala subsp. rosea — everlasting daisy

Everlastings — also known as paper daisies — are among the most iconic wildflowers in the Australian landscape. Pretty pink and white flowers with delicate papery petals, they grow naturally across western and southern Australia and produce a spectacular meadow of blooms during warm, sunny conditions when sown directly into garden beds. Easy to grow from seed and extraordinarily beautiful in flower, they are equally at home in a naturalistic wildflower planting and in a vase — where the papery petals hold their colour and form long after cutting, lasting for months as a dried flower.
