Australian native wildflower seed bombs for pollinators
These Native Seed Box wildflower seed bombs bring a diverse and colourful mix of Australian native species to any garden, patch of bare ground or revegetation area. Rolled from Australian clay and compost packed with native wildflower seeds, each bomb protects its seeds until conditions are right for germination — then breaks down naturally and allows the plants to establish without any further intervention. Throw, water and watch native pollinators follow.
A diverse mix for bees, butterflies and native insects
The seed mix is curated for maximum pollinator value — species chosen for their nectar production, flowering period and attractiveness to native bees, butterflies and insects across different seasons. The mix combines annuals and perennials, ground covers and climbers, daisies and pea flowers to create a layered, diverse planting from a single throw. Additional native species are included seasonally subject to availability.

How seed bombs work
The clay and compost casing protects the seeds from drying out, being eaten by birds and washing away in rain until conditions are right for germination. When moisture and temperature align, the casing breaks down and the seeds germinate directly into the surrounding soil — a natural, self-directed establishment that mimics how Australian wildflowers spread in the landscape without any intervention beyond the initial throw.
Why you'll love them
- Ten native species in a single mix — annuals, perennials, ground covers and climbers
- Australian clay and compost casing — no synthetic binders or imported materials
- Protects seeds until conditions are right for natural germination
- Supports native bees, butterflies and pollinating insects through food and habitat
- No tools, no soil preparation and no gardening experience required
- A purposeful and lasting gift for wildlife gardeners and pollinator advocates
How to use
- Choose an open, sunny position with well-drained soil
- Throw or place the seed bombs on the soil surface — no burying required
- Water in well after placing and keep moist until germination
- Allow to establish naturally — most species are drought-tolerant once settled
